The conference would be divided into 2 divisions of 6 teams
each. Each school playing each team in their division 5
games and 2 teams in the opposite division that would rotate
each year. Where you would play every one at least once
every three years. That is seven conference games. That
would leave each school the ability to play two big payday
games (larger institutions or local rival games that are
Division I) and would still allow the ability to play two
other HBCUs (to keep traditional games). Yes, only one
division I-AA game can count toward bowl eligibility and
that would be fine. Once the league was up and operational
for 5 years the rankings will be high enough to offset that.
There would be a Conference Title game. Which would be a
huge event. And the league would tie in with 3 bowl games to
be held in popular cities all to be held on December 31st
(Las Vegas, Atlanta, New Orleans, Miami
one to be called the
Diversity Bowl). This should give about 3-4 teams the
opportunity to play in bowl games.
